Spring is around the corner

As the calendar tells us, we have just started Spring. I know the weather doesn't agree with this fact but the fact is that it is now spring.
We have had a hard winter with lots and lots of snow and enough cold temperatures. In the last week or two we have had a little reprieve with some days of warmth causing melting of the snow. This action, of course, gets our hopes up that we will see some green grass and flowers in the near future, we usually forget to accept the fact that with melting comes flooding and lots and lots of mud. God has designed this earth and its yearly cycles to accomplish what he wants to happen here on Earth, like us, the land needs time to rest, thus the winter snow and ice. In the Spring, the Earth wakes up and stretches taking in lots of fresh air, and moisture from the melting snow so it can proceed to make many pretty flowers and shrubs. In the summer, it has come to full life and built up its' muscles by growing many trees, plants, fruits and vegetables, just like us when we do our excercises with muscle building.
In the fall, the Earth settles down and relaxes with its multicoloured leaves and harvest of fully grown and developed food crops. This is the same as us after a hard days' work, just letting our sore muscles rest from the exertion. And then back to winter again.
This is so much like our human lives and we need to be thankfull for what God has made and given us.
